About Toronto FC

Toronto FC or TFC are a Major League Soccer team in the MLS Eastern Conference that is based in Toronto, Ontario. Owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd., who also own the Toronto Maple Leafs among other sports teams and ventures in Canada, TFC was announced as an MLS expansion team in 2005 and their inaugural season came 2 years later in 2007. They were the first Canadian and first team from outside the United States to join the MLS.

Toronto FCs Stadium: BMO Field

TFC play their home matches at BMO Field. Opened in April 2007 BMO Field seats 21,859 for TFC matches. In addition to being the home field for TFC it is also serves as the home field for the Canadian Men’s National Soccer Team and Men’s National Rugby team. While it does offer many different seating options for TFC games from field side to last row it is worth noting that it is an open air stadium. Whether the weather is calling for sun, rain or snow come prepared because being in Canada if it is an October game you might get to experience all three in one half.

Tickets to Toronto FC Games

Tickets to Toronto FC games are on the higher end compared to some of the other teams in the MLS. The lowest single game tickets are located in the corners of the stadium and cost $37.50 CAD including the ticket processing fee. Tickets along the sideline range in price from $49.75-85.75 CAD depending on the location.

In addition to the seats in the stands there are field side seats from $120.75 and seats directly behind the away goal for $70.75.

Ticketmaster Canada is the official ticket outlet for Toronto FC. Tickets can usually be found cheaper than the face value on secondary sites such as StubHub.

Directions to BMO Field

From downtown Toronto the easiest way to get to BMO Field is by taking the GO Train one stop west from Union Station to Exhibition. The stop is located right on the grounds of Exhibition Place and only a few hundred yards from BMO Field. The train runs regularly and a round trip ticket can be purchased for just under $10.

If you are driving in from outside the city for a Toronto FC game the stadium is conveniently located close to the Gardiner Expressway. Around the ground there several parking lots with parking available for $14.
